Chanel UV Essentiel Multi Protection Daily UV Care SPF 50

Hello Ladies !

Who doesn't love Summer ?! Well, Lucky me, living in a part of the world that provide me a SUN along the year.. and I love it ! That's why, Sunscreens is the most important thing on my beauty routine.

CHANEL UV Essentiel Multi-Protection Daily UV Care SPF 50 sunscreen has been a long time favourite of mine.

On Chanel’s website, The UV Essentiel sunscreen is described as “skin’s guardian angel that shields skin safely beyond the reach of aggressive UVA/UVB rays.”

this sunscreen is “a free-radical and anti-pollution shield with a Vitamin E derivative and plant extracts.” It moisturizes the skin well and is very soothing. The “oil-free, lightweight formula safeguards the skin against environmental pollutants.” Other ingredients in this product like “licorice root extract and a highly effective combination of UVA and UVB filters help diminish and prevent the appearance of dark spots and signs of premature ageing.”

As always, Chanel's packaging is beautifully done. It's compact and travel friendly, which is always a plus for portability and convenience.

There is a floral fragrance like others Chanel’s products. The scent is light and fluffy, but it does linger on the skin after application. The formula is great for underneath makeup, It blends well into the skin and does not leave a white cast. Because the finish is a bit more slick, I prefer not to apply my face makeup over this immediately – in fact, I wait a good 10-15 minutes. 

This sunscreen  does not claim to be water-resistant or sweat-resistant , so I wouldn’t suggest wearing this to go swimming or to be outside for hours sweating.

Overall, I recommend this product, You know how much I LOVE Chanel, well I guess, every girl do LOVE Chanel !

Little Squishy Miracle - Called The Konjac Sponge

Have you heard about these ‘magic sponge’, The Konjac Sponge, Well today I will share my experience with it and trust me, this little squishy miracle will change your skin routine.


What's in it ?
Konjac is actually a pure natural sea vegetable, sort of like a potato, that is mineral rich and free of any additional colourants. The Konjac sponge is extremely gentle and 100% biodegradable – it should last 2 to 3 months, Once it starts to look tired and/or breaks down, replace it. You could compost it when it’s time for a new one.

What Does the Konjac Sponge Do?
The Konjac sponge is an extremely gentle cleanser for both face and body. I have two separate sponges, one for my body and one for my face. The sponge acts as a gentle exfoliator, rubbing off dead skin cells in the most delicate manner. The extra soft texture means that its ok for anyone to use,  babies included (they even have a sponge for babies too!).

How Do I Use the Konjac Sponge?

Just add water! This sponge comes dry and hard, but after soaking in water, will be soft and spongy. It's best to use a makeup remover first, if you are wearing makeup, before using the sponge. Once it is wet and puffy, simply use the flat side in a circular motion around your face to exfoliate and remove dirt and grime. This circular massaging will stimulate tired skin & encourage skin renewal.
Once you are finished with your sponge, squeeze it between your hands to get the water out – and simply wiring out to keep their hygiene.

Do I Need to Use a Cleanser with a Konjac Sponge?
If you choose, you can also use a bit of your cleanser with the sponge, although this may shorten its lifespan. Since keeping your skin’s natural moisture intact is essential in anti-aging, I prefer to use my sponge in the morning (since I’m not using my Clarisonic for day & night cleansing routine – find out why http://saturdaywithnatalie.blogspot.com/2015/05/bye-bye-clogged-pores.html)
A Facial cleanser can be drying and unnecessary after sleeping.

The Pink Sponge is your ticket if you have extremely sensitive skin. It is the most gentle of the sponges (while they all are, this combination of clays is quite calming).  Pink clay is a mix of red and white clay and is recommended for tired, sensitive & dehydrated skin. It is great for overly sun-exposed skin as the pink clay helps skin maintain its elasticity.

Me and The ‘Glow’

When I apply it to my skin it felt cool and there is ‘this calming’ sensation on my skin. After a while I felt it’s tingling a bit on my skin. I let it dry for about  10 minutes, it gets very tight when it dries, so you won’t even need a timer to determine when it’s done. I wash it off with warm luke water.

My skin did look noticeable brighter, and the amazing thing is, I always have those ‘Panda eyes’ underneath my eyes and it is kinda disappear. My skin felt much smoother and so ready to have make up applied to it.

Now I understand why this mask had a reputation in the entertainment Industry, well it is great for someone who deal with long flights, lack of sleep, and have to deal with tons of make up. It is ‘Magic in a Jar’. It is part of my beauty routine, I used it at least 2 times in a week. What I also love about this mask is it did not cause a break out on my skin, which a lot exfoliating mask tend to do ; because I have a sensitive skin.

How to Use

Apply thin layer to clean face for 10 minutes, remove mask with water in circular motions to exfoliate. Use twice a week or as often as desired.

My Soothing Rose de France Cleanser - Lancome Creme Mousse Confront

It’s always important to wash away your make up at the end of the day to let your skin breath and recuperate, One problem I tend to have is that many cleansers tend to leave my skin dry and tight

feeling. So I will give it a try to one of lancome families cleanser for dry skin, Lancome Creme Mousse Confront.

My Experience

I have a combination to dry type of skin, a little bit oily in a T-zone area and having a dry patches here and there.

I am using this amount..

The first time I tried the cleanser, it smells really good, it has an aroma of rose garden and it’s relaxing. Even though the cleanser claims could melt away make up, even a waterproof one, my cleaning routine is always start by using micellar water to dissolve all make up and then using cleanser with my Clarisonic.

It is important to do a proper cleaning to your skin before you start up your beauty routine to make your skin more ready to accept all those pricey treatment and serums that you have.

So.. After washing off the foam, I feel my skin soft and smooth and there is no tight feeling or discomfort. It is a good news for my dry skin. If you have a dry skin, you want to try this one.

Tim Ho Wan - The Cheapest Michelin Star Restaurant

How’s your weekend happy people..

Last weekend, I went to The famous dim sum restaurant Tim Ho Wan – The cheapest Michelin star Restaurant from HongKong at PIK Jakarta.

My first attempt with Tim Ho Wan is in Singapore, I queued for ONE and HALF hours, no Kidding.. and when I heard that Tim Ho Wan is opening their first outlet here in PIK Jakarta, I supposed the queueing will be much worst. That’s why I decided now, 1 month after their grand opening will be the right time. Tim Ho Wan PIK Jakarta officially opened for public on March 28, 2015 ; They will open another outlet at Grand Indonesia by the end of 2015 and I heard they will served all Halal menu there.. Unlikely here at Tim Ho Wan PIK, they’re keeping the pork and all the ingredients same as the original.

Anyway, I came at 6pm and the queueing was terrifying..

After waited for 1hour, Not bad actually.. I am so ready to enjoy my dim sum..

We ordered almost everything.. LoL.. but here’s my Favourite :

Baked Bun with BBQ Pork IDR 38.8k

This is one of their Signature menu and it is a MUST TRY. It’s just too amazing. Taste just as good as the one I had in Singapore, soft fluffy bun with sweet light crunchy exterior and rich pork barbeque filling. I’ve never had any BBQ Baked Bun taste so good, melting on my mouth except here in Tim Ho Wan..

Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leaf – Lo Mai Kai IDR 48.8k

The Lo Mai Kai was not as huge as the one I ate in Singapore but doesn’t subtract it’s goodness. It was moist with generous rich well seasoned pork meat and mushroom fillings.

Pork Rib with Black Bean Sauce IDR 29.8k

The Pork Rib is so tender and juicy and the black bean sauce perfectly absorbed into the meat.. Yumm !

The rest on our table was just alright.

Overall craving was satisfied, Absolutely will be back for the Baked Buns..

Mango Kiss - Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 Mango

Good Day, ladies !

I’m about making a payment at Central Department store, located at Grand Indonesia, East mall and while waiting.. here they are, sitting there, doing nothing.. Khiel’s Lip Balm Mango Scent.

As we know Khiel’s is one of favorite item to fight dryness, so i was so attemped Not to Buy it J

Me and Kiehl's..

This is a great lip balm, I would say.. J the texture is just right and the mango scent is really pleasant. The lip balm is nourishing and at the same time it doesn’t leave lips feeling sticky.

I promise you No Hair getting stuck to your lips in the wind. I also use it every night before I go to sleep and my lips feels really soft the next morning and so ready to wear my favorite Lipstick. Now it's time to say Good-bye to dry Lips..
